Juice – World Café Live – Philadelphia, PA – May 3, 2018

On May 3rd, 2018, Juice, an up-and-coming band from Boston College took the World Café Live by storm! They are a seven-piece band that even incorporates an electric violin, adding individuality to their performance and songs.

Juice performs music from a series of genres, ranging from covers to original songs. At the show, they played their hit “Sugar” along with many others tunes and a crowd-favorite cover of “Gold Digger.” There were quite a few long instrumental breaks to acknowledge the amazing composition of voices and instruments.

Juice has spent their year touring, with a ton of new music and energy, and with the exciting news about a new EP that will be released mid-June 2018.

The seven-piece band is composed of all men: Daniel Moss // Guitar, Rami El-Abidin // Bass, Miles Clyatt // Drums, Michael Ricciardulli // Guitar, Ben Stevens // Vocals, Christian Rose // Violin + Vocals, and Kamau Burton // Acoustic Guitar + Vocals.

The World Café Live lounge offered a very personal experience and sense of comfort for the artists, as well as the audience. The band went out of their way musically to communicate with the crowd, as well as making sure they met everyone attending after the show. The band obviously felt very happy, as were we.

In 2016, the band was introduced to the world – sky-diving into the spotlight. Appearing on “Discover Weekly” playlists on Spotify, they hit an astonishing 386,000 Spotify streams without any promotion. Their music by itself stood out enough to climb successfully and it continues to do so. Currently “Sugar,” their new single, is at 78,307 streams, carving a new path for the band and drawing attention to their older songs.

Overall the energy and enthusiasm that the group brought the stage was infectious, leaving the entire crowd beaming. Towards the end of the show the entire audience was singing along to their catchy hits. Juice gave an exciting performance, filling the World Café Live with a feeling that will not be forgotten.
