Goo Goo Dolls, Daughtry and Plain White T’s – Susquehanna Bank Center – Camden, NJ – August 17, 2014
Going to a concert of just a single band is usually a memorable experience. When you add two more terrific bands to the equation, the concert is on a whole new level. The Plain White T’s, Daughtry, and the Goo Goo Dolls teamed up on August 17th for a memorable night.
The concert was held at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, New Jersey. This center can hold a massive audience, and it did just that when fans showed up to see these three disparate acts. Despite its size, the venue has great acoustics for a far range. Even concert-goers seated on the lawn are treated to a great experience. The Susquehanna Bank Center is the perfect summer concert venue — big, loud and open.
The Plain White T’s started off the concert with a few great numbers. The band played several of its popular hits including, “Hey There Delilah” and the recent single “The Giving Tree.” The band played well, starting the concert off with a bang from their sweet and breezy sound.

Daughtry was up next. The group, headed by former American Idol favorite Chris Daughtry, released their latest album Baptized in late 2013. This was the band’s fourth album. Daughtry has stayed consistent with their sound over the years, bringing rock tunes such as “Waiting For Superman” and “Home” to the radio again and again.
Daughtry really brought their A game to the concert in several aspects. Daughtry used onstage screens to add visuals to his songs. Each set of visuals added a whole other dimension to the performance, allowing it to make an impact on the audience. Daughtry also made sure to include the audience, not only by having them sing along to his songs, but by bringing a few lucky members onto the stage! Overall, Daughtry gave a great performance that kept audiences engaged with it’s creativity and execution.

The Goo Goo Dolls performed last, providing an epic finish to the concert. The Goo Goo Dolls have a sound that resounds to multiple generations. They performed a long set of songs, many of which the audience knew and sung along to. The Goo Goo Dolls also performed some new songs that fans seemed to really enjoy. They had great stage presence, moving around and dancing about. They gave off an energy that the crowd absorbed. The Goo Goo Dolls have been together for many years and they seem to have perfected a style of performing that still works.
Each band performed at a high level. They all sounded great and were comfortable on stage, adding to the magic that is a three band concert. I highly recommend seeing all three bands, either separately or together.
