Charlotte Cardin & New West – The Fillmore – Philadelphia, PA – October 28, 2023
Canadian singer-songwriter Charlotte Cardin came down for a wonderful night on her 99 Nights Tour! Joined by New West on this run, Charlotte Cardin gave the audience a performance to remember.
Cardin’s latest album 99 Nights was released in August 2023. Her sophomore album release features 12 tracks and is a culmination and incredible representation of her talent as a singer-songwriter.
New West took the stage first, kicking off the show with incredible energy. They interacted with the crowd well, engaging the audience and putting on an incredibly well-rounded performance. The stage was lit up in colorful blue and purple lights, as the chemistry between band members soared. The audience sang and danced along as New West closed their set with their popular song, “Those Eyes.”
At around 9 pm, lights went low, and the crowd went wild as Charlotte Cardin took the stage! The lights surrounding her were dark and moody as she commanded the stage from start to finish, opening her set with “Looping,” “Meaningless,” “Puppy,” and “Someone I Could Love.” Her vocals were strong and were accompanied by smooth instrumentals creating a powerhouse of a performance.
Fans sang along to every word as Cardin continued her set with “Daddy’s a Psycho,” “Phoenix,” “Anyone Who Loves Me,” and “Next To You.” Cardin interacted with the crowd, getting up close and personal and creating a true connection between her lyrics and the audience. Fans could feel every ounce of this as they sang along to the heartfelt lyrics. It was a moving and captivating performance as Charlotte continued with my personal favorite, “Jim Carrey,” followed by “Daddy,” “Sex to Me,” “Confetti,” and closing out her set with “Feel Good,” and “Main Girl.”
Overall, this was an incredible and well-rounded performance, and Charlotte Cardin without a doubt left an impression on Philadelphia that night. Be sure to get out to see a date of the tour, and stream Cardin’s latest album, 99 Nights!
