The Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Hollywood is Back!

I’ll be there for you and so will the newly renovated Studio Tour at Warner Brothers Studios Hollywood. Friends, DC Comics, and Harry Potter fans alike will thoroughly enjoy the expansions with interactive displays and exhibits.

Located in Burbank, CA, the tour begins through gate 6 and starts at their “Storytelling Showcase” where you walk over an aerial view of the 62-acre studio and see snapshots and props of various television shows and movies filmed on set. Additionally, you can pose in front of the replica WB water tower and read up on the history of the Warner Brothers alongside some artifacts from their possessions.

Stepping onto the trams, you will journey to Stage 48, which showcases a replica set from The Big Bang Theory and an even larger replica Friends’ Central Perk Cafe connected to the area outside the apartments and Monica’s kitchen. You might find yourself saying, “Joey doesn’t share food!” when you get a coffee at the main Central Perk kitchen and buy some merchandise to go along with it.

Making an appearance for the press preview on Thursday, Maggie Wheeler who played Janice on Friends spoke about the show being a “friend” to others and making such a great impact worldwide. She went back to her roots in traditional Janice style and stated that Janice today would have “a line of handbags, very successful, animal print, leopard, zebra, the tiger, very special, and a podcast for the loved one… to help people for the one that got away.”

From Stage 48, you will travel to the “Action and Magic Made Here” exhibition. This is where characters from the DC and Harry Potter franchises come alive with much wider range displays than the original studio tour.

In DC areas, you can view various Justice League superhero costumes and props from films as early as the 1970s with Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman. Newer props include the Batmobile inside the replicated bat cave, a desk from the Daily Planet next to the Fortress of Solitude, and Aquaman’s costumes inside his cave. If you’re not a superhero fan, don’t fret; you can still find the costumes of members from Suicide Squad in front of a replica Arkham Asylum.

Straight from the DC universe onto the lot, director of Wonder Woman 1984, Patty Jenkins gave an interview on Thursday about films, plus the making of hers. She described superheroes as “the characters of our time,” stating that Wonder Woman teaches “love and forgiveness and kindness and compassion… very important values to be exploring in ourselves.”

Inside the same exhibition lies the mega interactive Harry Potter area with various props in rooms like the cupboard under the stairs beside the relocated flying letters scene, the greenhouse where you can pull a mandrake from its soil, and the potions room to create your own “antidote to common poisons'' or learn the ways of the wand. They also have a Fantastic Beasts display of Newt’s shed where you can pose in his suitcase.

Get excited because the new Studio Tour is already open! Currently, you can make reservations for its weekend dates until July 15, when it will open 5 days a week to the public. Any TV and film fan does not want to miss this, so be sure to check out wbstudiotour.com for all information. Dumbledore once said, “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.”
