Mitch Rowland – The Troubadour – Los Angeles (A PopEntertainment.com Concert Review)

Updated: Oct 26, 2023

Mitch Rowland – The Troubadour – Los Angeles, CA – October 6, 2023

On a warm October night at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, we experienced the album release of Come June by Mitch Rowland, folk-rock singer, songwriter and acclaimed collaborator/co-writer with Harry Styles. His first album is nothing short of melodic and transcendent with soft 1970s acoustic sounds. It was especially amazing live at such an intimate venue, being completely sold out and surrounded by his friends, family, and fans.

Rowland reminisced on forming a heartwarming connection at the Troubadour ten years ago with a couple that became his first friends in Los Angeles. He also spoke of the band he saw there, which included his own keyboard player who would jump on stage from song to song throughout the album release show.

Playing the album in its entirety, fans cheered with excitement at every end for the artist. With “Come June,” the disco ball began to spin above, glimmering light over the venue and bringing a nice feeling of harmony.

Performing alongside his wife and drummer, Sarah Jones, Rowland made the night extra special when he announced it was their anniversary. The crowd swooned in congratulations for the two who met as bandmates for Harry Styles and since have had a child, touring with them during Styles’ Love On Tour.

As an encore, Rowland and his band performed a cover of “Oh! Sweet Nuthin’,” originally by The Velvet Underground, and the night ended on a sweet note when Mitch said he’ll see us real soon. We definitely cannot wait.

Check out his new album Come June and upcoming North American tour happening in 2024! Tickets on sale Friday, October 13.
