ETC(!) ETC(!) vs. Heroes X Villains TWURKAHOLICS VS. MOOMBAHOLICS EDITION – District N9NE – Philadelphia, PA – January 23, 2015

Philadelphia got loud last Friday night as snow fell onto the city and hundreds of bass music lovers packed in to District N9ne to brave the storm. It was sure to be a crazy night as the venue was set to headline trap artist Heroes X Villains, and Moombahton producer ETC! ETC! The event was sponsored by University EDM and labeled as a “Twurkaholics” vs. “Moombaholics” event, meaning the night bridged the best of both worlds between trap music and moombahton music, a fusion genre of house music and reggae.

The regular Twurkaholics crew, including Desafinado, Love City DJ’s, and Buddy Leezle, provided opening support, before the Atlanta native Daniel Disaster known by Heroes X Villains took the stage. He hopped on the decks just before midnight to a screaming crowd ready to rage and warm up from the frigid weather outside.

Heroes X Villains dropped some of his newest unreleased tracks to the Philadelphia crowd as well as some of our favorite trap beats for big names like Wacka Flocka, Gucci Mane, and his newest productions for Lil Uzi Vert and Rome Fortune. The crowd roared as everyone’s favorite Grumpy Cat even came out for a guest appearance to dance alongside the girls on stage while Heroes X Villains finished his set with a big punch of some unreleased music.

To close out the night was Los Angeles moombahton and trap producer with a heavy sound known as ETC! ETC! With support from some of EDM’s biggest names like Diplo, Dillon Francis, and Brillz ETC ETC has made a name for himself and he certainly brought his unique sound to District N9ne on Friday. With an incredible amount of energy, ETC! ETC! played a heavy set from the best of moombahton and trap music as fans raged on late into the night.
