Crawlers – Moroccan Lounge – Los Angeles (A PopEntertainment.com Concert Review)

Updated: Oct 31, 2023

Crawlers – Moroccan Lounge – Los Angeles, CA – June 22, 2022

There's no better way to spend a hot summer night in Los Angeles than with some live music. It’s even better when it’s a sold-out concert with a full crowd of fans like at Crawlers’ intimate set at the Moroccan Lounge on Wednesday.

Originating from England, the four-member band took to the stage to Charli XCX’s “Vroom Vroom” and expressed their thanks to fans for coming out. Lead singer Holly stated that she never thought she would play in LA, much less be able to afford a plane ticket to the States.

Although they do not have a full album out yet, Crawlers performed a nine-song set including “Monroe,” “I Don’t Want It,” and “Hush.” Their music borders around indie, alternative, and rock. Through the songs, Holly introduced her bandmates Amy, Liv, and Harry, quipping white men do not work as bandmates.

As a faux finale, they played their hit single “Come Over Again,” while Holly walked out into the audience to sing with fans. Once the band left and came back for their encore, the crowd was ready. The leader quickly stated that the next song was for anyone that can't drive, followed by the appropriately titled “I Can’t Drive.” Finally, they played one of their first hits, “Placebo,” to wrap up the night.

Even though the North American tour is coming to an end, make sure to get your tickets to a Crawlers show when they return to the States or catch them in the UK this fall!
